The Envelope a été chorégraphié par David Parsons et présenté pour la première fois le 21 août 1984 avec la David Parsons & Friends Company. Le Feld Ballet a également mis en scène The Envelope, dont la première a eu lieu le 6 avril 1985. Il a ensuite été mis en scène en 1994 pour l’émission Kids Dance de Ballet Tech.
