Kids Dance

Kids Dance returns to the Joyce in June 2017!

KIDS DANCE – called “a New York City treasure” by the New York Times – makes its annual visit to the Joyce! Ballet Tech’s remarkably poised, scrupulously schooled and impeccably rehearsed whiz-kid dancers work all year to dance for you. What’s up? That crazy Meshugana Dance is back, as is The Jig Is Up. “Terrific” “glorious” “lovely” UPSIDE DE returns to charm you and tickle your tykes. And, we’ve got premieres! Eliot Feld has done a new ballet for four girls on pointe, called Pointing. And Ballet Tech has commissioned Laura Careless to create The Wild Current, and three Juilliard graduates – Stephanie Terasaki, Conner Bormann and Riley O’Flynn – made a piece called It’s The Effort That Counts. It’s as much pleasure as you can have without getting cavities.
